WHAT TO EXPECT:  Training on handgun safety and an opportunity to target practice at the CCCC Club Gun Range.  You must attend safety training to shoot at the range this day.  If there is a handgun in your home, you are welcome to bring it with you (leave all ammo locked in your vehicle until  you arrive at the range). You will learn how to safely handle and secure your own and other handguns to prevent mishaps.  For example, you will learn what to do if you find a handgun in a public area such as a playground, shopping center or restaurant.

RULES OF THE DAY:

· No alcohol consumption prior to or during training at club and range.

· Handguns will be allowed only in the dance hall and only after they are checked in the parking lot and certified disarmed by safety training team members.

· Do not bring guns into or through the bar/dining area.

· Eye and ear protection required (bring your own); note: prescription eyewear is ok (both clear or tinted lenses), but department store sunglasses will not protect you. Safety glasses are approximately $10 at Rural King, Lowes, etc. Ear plugs or muffs can be purchased at these stores as well.

· Dress code (for safety reasons):

· No sandals, loose blouses, or low-cut tops

· Acceptable: jeans, shorts, tee shirts, high-neck tops

· For everyone’s safety, a participant count will be taken throughout the day. Once at the gun range, do not leave until the event is over and count is confirmed.
